Jon McKinnon

Jon is a Pastoral Counselor who is currently under supervision for licensure as a Clinical Pastoral Therapist. He is an ordained pastor who obtained his master’s degree from Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary. He has also pursued supplementary counselor training at Liberty University, where he is currently pursuing his PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
As a counselor, Jon is comfortable working with clients from any faith background, including those who do not identify with any faith. In counseling, Jon seeks to create an atmosphere in which the client feels safe and open to discuss their problems or concerns. Working with the client, he seeks to help them identify and work on core beliefs or schemas that are currently contributing to or complicating presenting issues. He is open to working with clients suffering from a wide array of struggles, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, addictions, spiritual difficulties, and couple’s concerns.
